The Unlicensed God-Eater

Four hundred miles east, there's a bounty on an unlicensed eater. The instructions are simple: bring him back whole.

Solren is alone, newly Awakened, and a danger to himself every time he eats. Bounty crews read the notices and do the sums. A principled Holder of the Salt Confederacy is closing in. And the only person who seems to understand what Solren is happens to be a drunk, disgraced God-Eater who would very much rather not get involved.

Meanwhile, the coal beneath Solren's ribs has started to talk.
