Privacy Notice

Last updated October 19, 2026

The short version. If you join the newsletter, I keep your email address so I can send you news about my books. I don't sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone except the service that sends the emails. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click.

This website has no ads, no accounts, and no analytics or tracking cookies.

Who I am

This site, www.brettbockmon.com, belongs to Brett Bockmon, the author of The God-Eater's Apprentice. If you have a question about this notice or your information, email me at [email protected].

What I collect

How I use it

I use your email address to send you the newsletter: new releases, cover reveals, release dates, blog posts, and the occasional bonus scene. I use email you send me only to reply to you.

I will never sell or rent your information, and I don't use it for advertising.

Services I use

A few companies help run this site and the newsletter. They handle your information on my behalf, under their own privacy policies:

Your choices

I send the newsletter only to people who asked for it. That consent is the basis for using your email address, and you can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing.

How long I keep it

I keep your email address for as long as you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, the newsletter service may keep a record of your address marked as unsubscribed, so that you aren't accidentally emailed again. If you'd like it removed entirely, email me and I'll delete it.

Children

This site and newsletter are not meant for children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has signed up, email me and I'll remove them.

Keeping it safe

I use reputable services and take reasonable steps to protect your information. No method of storing or sending information online is perfectly secure, but I collect very little to begin with.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, I'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, I'll mention it in the newsletter.
